Polruan Ferry

The Polruan passenger ferry operates a continuous daily service between Polruan and Fowey.

In addition to providing an essential link across Fowey harbour for residents and tourists, the service gives access to popular local walks such as the Hall Walk and the South West Coast Footpath.

The ferry operates every day of the year apart from Christmas Day, and runs continuously during service hours, departing each side of the harbour approximately every 10 – 15 minutes. Any unusual changes to our scheduled running times eg during periods of bad weather are posted on our Polruan Ferry Facebook page.

Dogs, bicycles and pushchairs are all welcome but please be aware that the ferry is accessed by steps at each landing point. Our staff will do their best to assist with pushchairs, wherever possible.

In Polruan, the ferry departs from Polruan Quay. During the winter months and summer evenings, the service runs to Town Quay which in the centre of Fowey. During the summer months, the daytime service runs to Whitehouse slipway which is situated on the Esplanade and a few minutes’ walk from Fowey’s main shopping street.
