Spotted in the harbour – ‘Cornubia’

Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter Cornubia

Allen spotted ‘Cornubia’ visiting the harbour today.

She was built in our boatyard in 1911 when it was owned by the Slade family. Cornubia is the ancient name for Cornwall and evidently she only cost £350 to build.

12m scalloper/trawler underway

Keel laid for new Toms scalloper/trawler

Following the launch of ‘Le Men Du’ at the end of last month, our next new build project is now underway.

She is a 12m scalloper/trawler for S&P Trawlers in Ilfracombe and will be to a similar specification as ‘New Seeker’ which was built for C&I Wason in Lyme Regis two years ago.
