The latest addition to our Polruan Ferry fleet was officially named on Good Friday.
Pat Moore, Chairman of Lanteglos Parish Council, conducted the naming ceremony.
The new Polruan Ferry is name ‘Three Cousins’ after the latest generation of the Toms family – Elliot, Evie and Lily.
She will be licensed initially to carry 12 passengers and has a lid and awning fitted so that she can keep passengers dry in wet weather.
Launch of new chandlery building
We celebrated the launch of our new chandlery building on Good Friday 18th April with customers, friends and associates.
Our long term Store Manager, Lynne Wilson, conducted the official opening.
In her speech, she told guests that this had been a long term project for the company and how she hoped it would bring more business not just to C. Toms & Son but Polruan as a whole.
The new building contains a launderette, shower block, disabled shower and bathroom and a fully stocked chandlery. It also has a meeting room with great views over the harbour which can be hired for private functions.
Our aim is to provide more comprehensive services to our existing customers and also for visiting yacht owners.
The building represents a £350k investment for the company. It was designed by AHT Design and built by Celtic Construction who are both based in Widegates near Looe.
